DSQUARED2 was born out of the creative vision of twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten. Hailing from Willowdale, Ontario, the duo moved to New York City in 1983 to attend Parson’s School of Design, and eight years later, they followed their dream to work in Italy, the birthplace of their father. After collaborating with various luxury fashion brands, in 1995, they launched their first men’s collection under the DSQUARED2 label. This collection marked the debut of their theatrical and unique runway shows, which combined fashion, entertainment, and music, capturing the attention of the global fashion press and buyers. DSQUARED2 presented their first women’s collection in 2003, began creating their first fragrance in 2006, and in 2012, they added beachwear and underwear collections, followed by DSQUARED2 Kids in 2013. The DSQUARED2 design philosophy draws inspiration from a mix of their Canadian roots, Italian tailoring, and all-out glamour. DSQUARED2’s “work hard, play hard” motto expresses the dualism that is the essence of the brand: constantly creating new trends while never losing its playful soul. “Born in Canada, Made in Italy.”

Expanding its lifestyle vision, DSQUARED2 launches its first wallpaper collection, co-created with luxury wallpaper manufacturer LondonArt. The collection features the brand’s iconic motifs, with each design showcasing a distinctive visual code. In one pattern, Canadian forest trees stretch across a sweeping panorama, while DSQUARED2’s runway looks inspire red-and-black checks, camouflage denim, and a floral print adorned with graffiti and illustrations. Striking a balance between contemporary style and elegance, the designs create a rich focal point in any room.
